Meet our Staff
Sharon Rashidi, Owner/Fitness Director
Sharon is a graduate of California State University Northridge and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. She is a nationally certified fitness leader, certified through International Fitness Trainers of America.
Sharon has been a dedicated health professional for more than 20 years and has been a professional fitness leader for the past 10 years. In addition, she is certified to teach Turbo Kick®, Zumba® Fitness, Pilates, Resist-A-Ball C.O.R.E, Medicine Ball, Step, Boot-Camp and High-Low Cardio Training.

Deanne Morrow, Front Desk
Deanne comes to us from the Bethlehem community, with over five years experience in customer service/front desk. She attended C.V.C.C. and Lenoir-Rhyne College; her focus on business and computers.
Deanne enjoys spending time with her four year old daughter, Heidi, swimming, boating meeting new people and making friends.
Jennifer Short, Front Desk
Jennifer is a wife and mother of 2 teenagers. When she isn’t working out, her favorite pastime is watching her children’s sports and drama events.
Jennifer has more than 20 years of customer service experience, so you’ll be able to count on her for a smile and assistance when you come to The Perfect Workout.
Jennifer’s motto: "Set a good example in fitness and health for family and friends."
Scarlett Williams, Customer Service Manager
Scarlett holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration and is employed at Rock Tenn in Conover. She has served for the past six years as a customer service account manager, handling more than 30 accounts. Prior to her work at Rock Tenn, Scarlett was the Sales Manager for 10 years at Wales Fabrics.
Scarlett is the proud mother of one daughter, Kayleigh. Scarlett has been working out with us for the last six years and decided to not only come to classes, but to join our staff...and we're so glad she did!
Amy Barone, Instructor
Amy is a loving wife and mother of four children who has dedicated herself to physical fitness for more than 20 years. Her focus is to inspire her children and those around her to live healthy lives through proper nutrition and exercise.
Amy’s background includes personal training instruction at the Grand Strand YMCA in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In addition to personal training, Amy is a licensed Nail Technician and has received over 250 hours of Massage Therapy instruction.
Amy’s strong interpersonal skills will always make you feel comfortable. She will greet you with kind words and a smile each day. Amy welcomes you to the gym, "Let’s get fit together; it pays dividends for a lifetime!"
Amy Buchanan, Yoga Instructor
Amy holds a degree in sports medicine and health/fitness from Westfield State College in Westfield, MA and has over 14 years of experience in personal training and exercise instruction. Amy's teaching credits include kickboxing, water exercise, prenatal exercise, youth fitness, yoga, core training, strength training and healthy back.
Amy is married with three children and enjoys helping women feel confident, strong, and healthy.
Betsy Buff, Aerobic instructor
Betsy has been nationally AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified since 1998 and been teaching group exercise since 1996. She has taught group fitness at Rock Barn, the YMCA and Appalachian State University.
Betsy is the mother of two young boys and holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Accounting.
Betsy feels that "people are more motivated to work out if they are in a group setting” and she'll make you feel right at home in her aerobic classes.
Amy Campbell , Yoga instructor
Amy has taken yoga classes since 1984 and started teaching in 1996 in Hickory. She has a YogaFit certification and many hours of training, particularly in the Anusara (Moving into Grace) approach to yoga practice developed by John Friend.
Amy emphasizes careful attention to alignment and breath and the use of props in asanas to insure safety and to make postures accessible to all students.
